Girls’ Basketball Defeats LE in Mid-Carolina Tournament Final

Our girls’ varsity basketball team defeated Lugoff-Elgin in the holiday tournament championship game by a score of 63-43. The tournament, sponsored by Mid-Carolina Credit Union, featured the three Kershaw County high schools and Robert E. Lee Academy. Two Lady Bulldogs, JaNai Crim and Venus Sumpter, were named to the All-Tournament team.

Varsity Basketball Teams Score Two Wins Over LE

Girls and Boys basketball teams scored two big wins over LE on Friday night. In the Girls’ game, Ariyan Massey and Janai Crim led the Lady Dogs scoring.  Janai was the top scorer with 22 points; Ariyan contributed 15 points to the great effort by the team.  The score at halftime was 27-11; final score

Wrestling and Basketball Teams Kick off Seasons

The CHS wrestling team began Camden Strong with a first-place finish in the Indian Land Warrior Invitational.  The team defeated both Airport and Hartsville in Tuesday’s matches. In basketball action this week, JV basketball hosts LE on Thursday.  The girls’ game begins at 5:30.  Varsity basketball travels to LE on Friday with the girls’ tipoff

Camden Girls Basketball Honors Six Seniors

On senior night against Chapin, the Lady Bulldogs honored six ladies playing their last game for the gold and black. Dayajoi Belton, Audria Brooks, Brooke Dixon, Jalathea McClendon, Treana Perry, and Kentrell Salmond were each honored between the boys’ and girls’ games. Camden Girls Go 2-1 In Lake Marion Tournament

The CHS girls basketball team fell to top ranked Orangeburg- Wilkinson in the opening game of the Lake Marion Invitational 53-33. The girls rebounded with two victories over Bethune-Bowman 54-22 and Wade Hampton 50-47. Treana Perry was named to the all-tournament team.
