Last nights scrimmage ended in a 2-2 draw with Lancaster Bruins. Camden stated the game off very strong. Wyatt Bunch cleared the ball up the field where Neal Blank was able to pressure Lancaster defense into an error that resulted in the a Neal Blank goal in the first 1:05 of the game. Throughout the first half Camden had some good sequences of pass. Also Chance King had some huge saves in the first half to deny the Bruins. Midway through the first half Marshall Batten was able to get down the line and provide an assist to Brady Anderson who was making his varsity debut for the second goal. Start of the second half Camden came out flat. This led to the Bruins scoring there first of the game after that goal Camden begin to wake back up. Camden had a few attacking opportunities that were stopped by the Bruins keeper. Midway through the second half there Bruins were able to find an equalizing goal off a corner. From then on the Bruins had momentum going into the last 15 mins of the game. If not for the defensive efforts of the Camden back line and senior Chance King in goal the Bruins could have run away with the game. Camden will be making its first appearance in the Lakewood Gator Classic at Lakewood High School on Friday night and Saturday morning.
