Friday nights game started off very slowly for the Camden boys. In the first ten minutes of the the game it was a back and forth affair between Camden and Manning. If not for the efforts of senior goalkeeper Chance King the game could have ended very differently. The Manning defense proved very resilient through out the game. Manning stifled last years leading goals scorer and captain for Camden Neal Blank form finding the back of the net but that did not stop him form making his presence know in the game. In the 21st minute of the game Neal pulled to the sideline of the field to receive the ball. When he received the ball on the sideline he found Junior Alessandro Magana making a run down the middle of the field with a huge hole that opened up. Where Neal played the ball down the middle to Alessandro that led to the first goal of the game for Camden. It was a few minutes later when Marshall Batten had a throw in that found Van Blank for the second goal. Neal was also able to find the feet of younger brother Van Blank for the third goal of the first half. To start the second half of the game the Camden boys came out looking for more of the same in the first half of the game. Neal was able to find Van on a nice passage of play half way trough the second to half that led to the fourth and final goal of the game for Camden. Manning’s determination not to give up led them to finding the back of the net on senior goalkeeper Chance King who looked to be impenetrable in goal for the night.
