Boys Varsity Baseball · Camden Crushes Fairfield For 7th Win In A Row

The Camden Bulldogs Varsity Baseball Team defeated Fairfield Central 12-2 for their 7th win in a row.  Tate Abbott pitched a complete game 2 hitter and had 10 strikeouts and one earned run.  In easily his best outing of the year, Abbott only had one walk and needed just 78 pitches with his 7 innings of work.

Offensively the Bulldogs had one multiple hitter and that was Jacob Jordan.  He had two singles as he continued his hot hitting.  Other players having hits were Jake Tanner, Zane Cook, Bryce Jeffcoat, Bennett Caldwell, Robert Spring, Matthew Cassidy, and Andrew Leaird.  The Dogs finish the regular season with a record of 14-8 and are locked in with a second place finish in Region IV-AAA.

Next week the Bulldogs will host the 7th annual Kershaw Richland Classic (KRC) Spring Break Tournament on Monday, April 15th – Wednesday, April 17th.  The Thursday games will be played at Dreher.
