The Camden High School Baseball Program presented a check for $350 to the local charity – Food for the Soul on Friday, April 15th. The Baseball team raised money through the fundraiser company mPower6 this spring. A portion of the money raised was to be given back to a local charity and the team chose Food for the Soul. Food for the Soul provides meals and shelter for people in need in Kershaw County. On Friday, some of the senior players toured the facility and learned about the many ways Food for the Soul helps the community. Ms. Darlene Thomas spoke to seniors Brady White, McKenzie Barrineau, Bryce Jeffcoat, and Andrew Leaird as well as Coach Denny Beckley how the money raised will help. The Bulldog Baseball Program consists of three teams: Varsity, Junior Varsity, and the B Team. These teams are committed to giving back to the community. The entire program is very proud to have partnered with mPower6 in this endeavor and is eager to make next year’s contribution even bigger.
