The Boys’ Cross Country team traveled to Florence on Saturday to compete in the Pee Dee Classic Cross Country Invitational hosted by West Florence and South Florence High Schools. In a tough field of eighteen teams, the Bulldogs ran hard in the heat and humidity to come away with a fourth place finish behind Waccamaw, Darlington, and Carolina Forest. Coming in first for Camden and claiming fourth place overall was Garrett Lawson with a time of 17:35. Sam Messinides (18:22), Jacob Hann (19:25), Ben Battiata (19:33), and KP Cassidy (19:51) completed the top five for Camden. The flat, fast course at Freedom Park helped both Ben Battiata and Ryan Robles (20:01) achieve their fastest times so far this season, while sophomore Jacob Hann saw his personal best cross country time. The Boys’ XC Team will travel to Great Falls on Tuesday, September 26th, to compete in their next meet. Congratulations to Coach Jerry Stokes and the XC Bulldogs for their successful run Saturday at the Pee Dee Classic! Run hard at Great Falls!
